Pasta with a twist, adding Magic Masala (MM)
There are many types of pasta recipes using different types of pasta. This recipe of making past in a cooker is unique and most efficient ways of preparing it. Given the busy schedules yet wanting something different to eat for self or for kids, I would vouch for this recipe, as it only takes 10 mins to prepare.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 2 Cloves Garlic, Finely Chopped (optional)
- 1 Onion, Chopped
- 2 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
- 2 tbsp Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp Magic Masala Podi
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 2 Cups Macaroni Pasta or Penne Pasta
Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
Preparation
Making Pasta
- In a cooker, heat 2 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter. Add chopped garlic and onion, and sauté until the onion turns golden.
- Add chopped tomatoes, ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chili powder, 2 tbsp tomato sauce, 2 tbsp Magic Masala Podi, all the chopped vegetables, and salt. Stir-fry for 1 minute so all the veggies mix well. Then add 2 cups macaroni or penne pasta and 1½ cups water.
- Mix well and pressure cook for 1 whistle on medium flame.
- After the pressure is released, add 2 slices of cheese and ½ tsp chili flakes.
- Cover and let it rest for a few minutes. Mix gently to ensure everything is well combined.
Seasoning
- 2 Slices Cheese
- ½ tbsp Chili Flakes
Veggies
- 1 Carrot, Chopped
- 1 Red Capsicum, Chopped
- 1 Green Capsicum, Chopped
- 1½ Cups Water
Your cooker pasta is ready to be served with garlic bread.
Note:
You can customize the veggies based on your preference. For a creamier texture, you can also add a splash of milk or cream after the pressure is released, along with the cheese.
