Curry Leaf Butter


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup fresh curry leaves, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp lemon juice (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions


    Prepare Ingredients:

  • Wash and finely chop the curry leaves. If using garlic, mince it finely.

  • Mix Butter:

  • In a bowl, combine the softened butter, chopped curry leaves, and minced garlic (if using).

  • Season:

  • Add salt, black pepper, and lemon juice (if using). Mix everything thoroughly until well combined.

  • Chill (Optional):

  • o For a firmer consistency, transfer the curry leaf butter to a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap, shape it into a log, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  • Serve

  • o Use the curry leaf butter as a spread for bread, a topping for vegetables or meats, or to add a flavorful touch to your dishes.
